This week has been a great and eventful one...Paige is Growing!

HIGHLIGHTS FOR THE WEEK:

~Paige is offically 3 months old tomarrow!!! Wow, three months went by soooo fast. Too fast! :)

~Grandpa and Grandma Scott came to visit this last Saturday and we picked lots of peaches at an orchard in the Twin Falls Canyon (ok, mostly Grandma and Grandpa... Paige was a little grumpy, in other words: SUPER HUNGRY! So I did a lot of watching from the nice air conditioned truck. I felt pretty guilty) And neat side note: The thermometer in my parent's truck read that it was 111 degrees in the canyon!!! It was sooooo HOT! As we were driving up and out of the canyon it read that it was in the Low 90's... Yea, Twin Falls is a lot hotter than I thought! :)

~Mom and Dad even showed me how to can peaches (we made 1 batch, 7 bottles)... lots of work, Wow! But it was worth it! With three of us it went pretty fast, I can't imagine how long it would take with just one person. My mother was reading a comment out of one of my cookbooks on canning and it read: 'There is something deeply satisfying about looking at a row of jewel-toned jellies, scarlet tomatoes or golden peaches that you've just "put up" or canned yourself with produce from your garden or farmers market.' You know it is true ~ I felt pretty good, even more after I made some homemade jam out of the left over peaches. Yum... and what goes better with jam than a warm slice of homemade bread. Yea, I was pretty proud of myself. And Scott even got to reap some of the yummy benefits!

~Scott is officially a third way through his LAST semester of nursing and starting into his preceptorship section...
(He will be shadowing another nurse for about a month apx. 108 hours is required)

~We went to the parade of homes in Twin Falls and got lots of fun ideas for our own home... someday :) A girl can dream right?!?

~Paige is getting into more of a schedule, pretty predicable now. Yea!!! And she is sometimes sleeping through the night (hey, better some then none right?) And even better... it's like 10 pm to 6-8 in the morning! 8 to 10 hour stretch is great!

~Paige is grabbing at toys and getting more c00rdinated with her hands. She is so fun (the highlight of my every day!)

~Paige is also smiling and laughing ALL the time, absolutely LOVE IT!!!! Scott and I think that she is just the coolest, greatest, awesomest thing ever! Yea, we pretty much are in love with her! How can we not! She's the GREATEST!

So here are a few pics of this week...
Paige smiling! She was sitting in the bumbo watching me do the dishes and she kept smiling at me so I just had to take a picture!
Here's another one... this one's a close-up~ Look at those dimples, just like Daddy!
She's getting so much better at holding up her head. Way to go Paige! :)
Paige grabbing her lion hand puppet... so cute love these!

~Our sweetheart!~

A video of Paige the other morning... She was grabbing at a toy on her play gym and there are some fun coos in here too. She really enjoys talking right now and experimenting with her voice!

Paige Updates~

Paige is getting so big! I can't believe how fast they grow! We went to her 2 month appointment and the Dr wanted us to do around 1 hour of tummy time each day. We have been trying to do lots of tummy time with her, and she absolutely hates it!!! So, we have to do like 5 minutes at a time... and if she is doing ok we try to do more. I think the most time that we have done at one time is 15 minutes. And sometimes we can't even get to 5 minutes, she gets herself so worked up she starts crying really hard and gags herself. Poor girl! Needless to say, mommy is very emotional during tummy time~ I can barely stand it. Here's some pics of when she was doing a pretty good job.

She's starting to roll... She can now roll from her tummy to her back. When she's not crying to get off her tummy she is rolling over! Here's some pics of the roll.

The other day when we were eating we put her in her Bumbo so she could sit up and look around... this is how she fell asleep~

We went to the park a few weeks ago to shoot off bottle rockets... Scott and I made a launcher and went to try it out and this is a video of her sitting in the stroller~ Excuse the spit up at the end (SORRY!) But there is a cute smile in there so I just couldn't resist!

Top 5 things that I love about Paige:
(there are too many to count, so I figured that I would just write down 5):

1. Her amazing smile and how it can make my day all better.
(I went into check on her this morning as she was sleeping, and she opened her eyes and when she saw me leaning in over the crib she got the biggest smile on her face and it just melted me! :) It was so precious)
2. Her Laugh
3. She is starting to make talking noises, and she will try to carry on a conversation with you.
(It is so cute, Scott gets her really going. ~he talks to her in "baby talk"~ We say something to her and she will respond. SO CUTE! Wednesday after Young Women's we had a board meeting... and Paige talked almost the whole way through. It was sooo cute! Even some of the ladies had to stop and laugh at her cause she was being just so darn cute!)
4. The spirit that she brings into our home.
5. Holding her in my arms and cuddling with her.

On another note... Wednesday Night I had Young Women's and Scott was working so I took Paige with me. It was such an inspiring activity. It was a combined activity and the Beehives were in charge. They asked a gentleman to come and speak on journal writing and how important it is for your posterity and for yourself to have these records. He asked us to think about whether we had ever kept a journal, and unfortunately I have never been good about consistently writing in one. He stated that his passion for journal writing started when his brother sent him a packet in the mail. Enclosed was a book of remembrance that his grandfather had written, who had past away only 2 years previously. When he opened it up it appeared that his Grandfather had started, but had never finished. He read what was enclosed and was swept away into his Grandfather's past... it was incredibly interesting, only it ended too soon because it was only a few pages long. He wished that his Grandfather had continued to write so that he would better know who he was. So, he set a goal that he would write about his own life so that his posterity would know who he was. He has completed this record and has continued to write every single day. He stated that he now has about 45 journals full. Isn't that incredible!?! He writes about all of his daily activities, those of his children, grandchildren, and himself. He also puts in his daily entries how he saw the hand of the Lord in his life. He stated that this helps him notice even the little things in his everyday life that are examples of how much Heavenly Father loves each and everyone of us. He read to us a few of his entries, and oh how fun it was to listen about his life. He did state however that his daughter keeps a journal through blogging, and I thought... Hey! I'm doing that. (kind of) I just need to be better. So, I have set a goal for myself that I will post more so that we have a better family record. Anyway, just something that touched me this week...
