More Ultrasound Pics!

So... at our last Dr's appointment we had another ultrasound. Our final peek at our little girl before she is finally born! (WE ARE SOOOO EXCITED!) Anyway just wanted to share a few of our favorites~

Ok, so I would like to think that she is looking right at the camera. I know that probably isn't the case, but it's still a fun picture. I am sure her eyes are closed and it's just a shadow, but cool huh?

Here's a side profile...

Here's the heart beat... the heart is the dark image at the top and the waves at the bottom measure the heart beat.

Ok, so I totally think this one looks like she's an alien :) It's taken more at the top of her head looking down so she looks kinda funny. Cute though...

I know this is kind of a weird pic but I think it is so cute! I love that you can see the nose and lips with so much detail. It's incredible how much technology has improved. I remember looking at my sister in-laws ultrasound pictures and thinking... I don't see anything!?!?

So this one has to be my ultimate favorite!!! I just can't believe how much it looks like a real photograph. I just can't believe what a wonderful blessing we have coming into our lives! What a beautiful and incredible thing. I just can't thank the Lord enough for all of our many blessings~

I am so thankful for the amazing opportunity that Heavenly Father has given to us to be parents. I am scared but so excited for the unknown. It has been such a wonderful experience so far! Last night she was moving around quite a bit when we laid down to go to bed and Scott and I spent at least 30-45 min just feeling her move. I always thought to myself how can parents just sit there and stare at their children and be completly content with themselves, how boring. But I have definately changed my mind about that now! I get so excited when she moves around and I could honestly just sit there forever and enjoy every moment of it. It makes it even more fun when Scott is around, he talks to her and everything. It's so fun! We are just so excited for her to finally be here... only 8 1/2 more weeks!!!! Yeah! :)

30 weeks!!!

I know, I know, I am totally a slacker and have not posted in about 9 weeks... Sorry Michelle! :(
Anyway, just wanted to update everybody on what is going on with our baby~

We are offically 30 weeks! Only a few months left! Oh, it’s been a journey. Never knew how many things you deal with in pregnancy. You always hear about being tired, cravings, stretch marks and being uncomfortable… Oh, how little those things prepare you for the real thing! It has defiantly been more exciting the closer that it gets. One really fun thing that we have been experiencing this past week is that our little girl has started REALLY moving…. (you know the kind that wake you up at night). Scott and I have had a lot of fun just feeling her move! She doesn’t move a whole lot during the day mostly just in the evening around 8 and then when we lay down to go to sleep. I probably just notice it more during those times because I am actually resting and not running around like I do during the day.

We have also been taking a parenting class, and that has been very interesting. We just went to our 3rd one on Tuesday (only 2 more to go). I am a little on the nervous and paranoid side and so there are things that they talk about that I just keep thinking… I don’t want to know! Just let me be naïve and not hear about any of the scary stuff!!! You know... I am a flowers and rainbows type of girl. Unrealistic, but you can always dream right?!? They have this thing called the sympathy belly that they let one of the support persons wear during class, so they can experience a "taste" of what being pregnant is really like (right...mmm not sure how close it is to the real thing). I have been trying to convince Scott to volunteer not only for the experience, but I thought it would be a fun picture to put on the blog. Hasn't happened yet, but I will keep trying :)

We had an appointment with the Dr. last week. The Dr. said "Wow, you are really growing aren't you?!?" (DON'T I KNOW IT!!!! I feel huge.) Scott asked the Dr. about how big I am and if that means that they would induce me early... Scott and I have been worried that the baby would be bigger because he was almost a 10 pounder! I was just over 6 so a little bit of a difference there :) If I was average height we wouldn't worry, but I am a bit bigger than others at this stage. The Dr. said that I appear larger because of how short I am and I am going out so much because there is no torso for the baby... so she is going... OUT! He said there shouldn't be any additional risks because of my height. The Dr. reassured us that just because Scott was a bigger baby didn't mean that I would have problems... he said to look at my mother and how big her babies where. My mom's were all about 6-7 lbs so that made me feel better. The Dr. did say that he wanted us to go in for another ultrasound next week to check on size and to make sure that everything is going well. So, we are pretty excited to see her on the ultrasound next Thursday!!! :)

I am also getting really excited because we are having a baby shower this weekend. The ladies at my work are throwing it for us. They have invited people from work and a few friends here in Twin. So, I should have some fun pictures of the shower to post by next week! Just staying busy... Scott is almost done with this semester, yeah. He has been studying like crazy! :) Anyway, I will post more real soon...

Ultrasound pictures!

Ok, so I figured I better make up for the fact that I have slacked on the Blog for the past month! I also need to keep my promise and post some ultrasound pictures. These are just a few of them, they took about 12... so, we posted some of our favorites!

Here's our Girl!! The 3-D ultrasound was so neat. It made it all so much more real!

Here's a good shot of her beautiful face!

These are the little feet. She was constantly crossing her ankles, so the ultrasound tech got a picture for us... It was sooo cute!

She's all girl! I know, I know... I was a little unsure if I should post the gender picture, but I figure what the hey! (Plus I know that my mom would want to see it and she hasn't gotten to see any of these ultrasound pics yet and I wanted to show her this one.) The Technician told us that it is definitely a girl... The arrow is pointing to the three little lines that indicate that it's a girl.

Here's an arm and a leg!

Here's a picture of our baby's profile, this is Scott's favorite!!! He says she looks like she is posing with her hands under her little chin for her picture to be taken. How fun it was to see our little one! It is a moment that I will never forget, one of the most wonderful experiences so far in my life!!! :)

BABY NEWS!!!

SO... We had our ultrasound Wednesday morning and the baby is doing great!
WE ARE HAVING A LITTLE GIRL!!!
We are soooo excited! It is definitely a girl. The ultrasound pictures are very definitive! We would have been excited either way. But, now that we know we can go shopping for all the fun stuff and know what we are having. Scott and I went out on Saturday night and bought three little baby girl outfits, our first purchases for a girl... they are so cute. Scott was really excited to pick out a newborn outfit; he didn't want one that she couldn't wear for a while. So, I picked out three and asked him which one we should get and he bought all three! Anyway, we are so excited for our little girl to come. We will post pictures of the ultrasounds for everyone to see.

Another Ultrasound...

Last night we got to see another ultrasound of the baby. Scott was working in the ER last night and he called and said it was slow, so we could have one of the Dr.s do an ultrasound. It was so neat. Last time we were able to do one the baby looked like a little bean. This time there was a real looking baby in there. You could see its head, hands, belly... it was amazing. The poor baby had hiccups though, I know this sounds mean but it was really cute. We even saw the baby suck it's thumb. Oh, it makes it all so real! The Dr. that did the ultrasound told us even what sex he thought the baby might be. He wasn't really that sure... it is still a little early to see. But in a few weeks when we have our ultrasound with the OB-GYN we will be able to have a more positive answer. Anyway, just an update. Tried to load the pictures of the ultrasound on, but I couldn't get it to work. Scott said that he will try to help me... So, maybe next post. :)

Hearing a heartbeat for the first time!

Right before Christmas we had another appointment for the baby. It was awesome!!! Scott came with me this time; it was the first appointment that he had been able to go to with me. It was amazing. We got to hear the baby’s heart beat… which brought tears to both our eyes. It makes it all a little more real. Baby is definitely growing; I am not able to really wear any of my pre-pregnancy clothes…welcome to Maternity Clothes!!! The baby is now about the size of a soft ball.

We’ve been so excited to get some things together for the baby, so this past weekend we bought the baby a stroller/car seat (it’s cheaper as a set). It was fun to actually have something for the baby. Scott was saying to me that he couldn’t believe that we are really having a baby… It definitely feels like it now! In a few weeks (around Valentine’s Day) we get to find out what we are having, so we’re pretty excited about that!!!
